Welcome to my blog!

I’m Caroline and I am super excited you’re here, reading this, right now. Oh wait, now I’m nervous.

A couple of years ago I started a blog with a friend of mine called A Cozy Kitchen. It was great, cause I got to discover a passion for food. More importantly though, I rediscovered a passion for writing and photography. I thought it might be cool to have a blog where I could write about other things like this, or take photos of stuff like this. I hope you think it’s cool too. I really, really do.

Please don’t be confused though. I still LOVE food. Like, a whole lot. I will be friends with anyone that shares my love of gelato, avocado, and a good tomato sauce. As you can imagine, I have lots of friends.

I am a completely self & Mom taught cook with no formal training. Sometimes this means I make really delicious and easy-to-make recipes. Other times, I don’t…but you probably won’t ever hear about those.

On an average day I live in Los Angeles with my husband Chase and our dog Honey. However, it seems that more often than not you can find me in other places like North Carolina or the Caribbean. (okay, I haven’t been to the Caribbean in years but ARE YOU LISTENING UNIVERSE?)

I take all of the photos you see on this blog. I have a Nikon D40 camera with a 100mm macro lens and 50mm lens. Sometimes I use my super fancy Speedlight Flash, but natural sunlight is my favorite. I’ve also been known to use my Iphone when it’s convenient.
