Shades of Warm Gray

Chase calling his dad about which paintbrush to buy - because we are THAT clueless.

We have now completed our first project: picking out a paint. Due to an previous insurance claim that my grandmother had on the house, we were informed that we will be able to have our bedroom painted FOR FREE. After hearing this Chase and I dashed over to Lowe’s to pick out a couple of paint samples to try.  If anyone out there is curious as to whether or not you and your significant other are good at communicating, I suggest you try and pick out a paint together. It will probably go something like this:

Chase: What kind of color were you thinking?

Me: I want a warm gray.

Chase: Gray? But gray looks so cold.

Me: That’s why I want a warm gray.

Chase: What about this one?

Me: No way, that’s too blue. I kind of like this color.

Chase: That’s beige.

Me: No Chase, it’s a warm gray.

Chase: I hate beige.

Me: It’s. Warm. Gray.

By the end of this, I predict that Chase and I will either be able to read each other’s thoughts, or will no longer be speaking to each other. Stay tuned.

This made me laugh – exactly the type of conversation my boyfriend and I would have (and did while decorating our apartment…). Good luck!

The good news is that if you can read each other’s thoughts you won’t have to speak to each other ;)
